Delete your Moss data
Moss keeps what you write on your phone, so it's yours to delete in one tap. Here's everything, in one place.
1. Delete everything in the app
You. → Your data → Delete everything → confirm twice.
This removes everything from your phone:
- your things, rituals and brain dump;
- your Page lines, faces and seeds;
- the Nook and the Grove;
- your settings.
It can't be undone. If you want a copy first, use You. → Your data → Export everything.
Moss has no accounts, so there's no account to delete.
2. Remove backups
- Android: Moss's data is in your Google account's backup. Open your phone's Settings → Google → Backup (or https://drive.google.com → Storage → Backups) and delete the backup, or run Delete everything before your next backup.
- iPhone: if you use iCloud Backup, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups and remove Moss from the backup, or delete the backup.
3. Uninstall
Deleting the app removes Moss's data from the phone (not from your backups: see step 2).
4. Ask us to delete what we hold
The Moss app sends us nothing, so we hold nothing from it: not what you wrote, not how you felt, not even that you use Moss. The only thing we may hold is messages you sent us by email or through the support form. They're deleted after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
To delete them sooner, email privacy@cyberinnovate.ai with the subject "Delete my Moss data", from the address you wrote from. We confirm within one month (45 days in US states), and we ask our processors to delete it too.
