Moss and your health
Moss is a companion, not a treatment
Moss is a small companion for your day: rituals, one thing at a time, a focus timer and a journal. Many people who use it have ADHD, or simply find it hard to start things. Moss is made with them in mind and draws on published research about routines, starting and self-kindness.
But Moss is not a medical device and not a mental health service. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent ADHD, depression, anxiety, or any other condition, and it isn't a replacement for a doctor, a therapist or medication. Nothing in Moss is medical advice.
- If you think you might have ADHD, or your current support isn't working, please talk to a qualified health professional.
- Don't change or stop a treatment because of anything in Moss.
The mood journal
The faces you give your days are a private journal on your phone. They aren't an assessment and Moss doesn't interpret them clinically. If many heavy days come close together, Moss may gently mention that people are ready to listen. That's a kindness, not a diagnosis.
If you're struggling right now
You don't have to manage it alone.
- In danger right now: call your local emergency number (UK 999 or 112, EU 112, US 911, UAE 999, Philippines 911, Australia 000).
- Free, confidential helplines in your country: https://findahelpline.com
- UK and Ireland: Samaritans, call 116 123 (free, 24/7).
- US: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Moss doesn't send what you write to anyone, including when it shows you a helpline. Nothing about it is recorded or reported.
